Artist's Description
A friend commissioned me to create this meaningful and uplifting image, a high-school graduation gift for a young man who liked the Lord of the Rings stories by J.R.R. Tolkien. A lone knight, mounted on a beautiful horse, gazes off into distant lands full of endless opportunity and new challenges. Perhaps he is on a personal quest, a purposeful mission. The J.R.R. Tolkien quote is hand-printed in bold and elegant calligraphy script, much of it illuminated with sparkly gold ink. This image, simultaneously calming and inspiring, makes a wonderful graduation card or a card to attach to a graduation gift. As an art print, framed or as a small poster, this picture provides a spirit-renewing message for any person finding new paths on life's journey.
